Canadian retailers are losing C$1.7 billion ($1.3 billion) in annual in-store sales because some shoppers become impatient waiting in line and leave the stores without buying what they came for, according to a survey released today by Moneris Solutions Corp., Canada's largest processor of debit and credit card transactions.
