NSW: Up to 200 state primary schools falling apart
Up to 200 government primary schools in New South Wales say their classrooms are damaged
.. and their buildings are crumbling .. and have health issues caused by flooding, mould
and termites.
News Ltd reports at Wahroonga Public School .. on Sydney's north shore .. parents claim
322 students are sharing two male and two female toilets.
And it says some schools .. which responded to a maintenance survey .. report they've
been waiting for up to 10 years for repairs.
The backlog of works in the state's 22-hundred schools has been reduced from 114 million
to 82 million .. with the state government stating the backlog will fall to about 50 million
by the end of 2008.
